Are You A Copy Or An Original?

Think about this:  Do you follow people rather than God?  If we follow people, we tend to be a carbon copy of someone else which usually takes us down the wrong path.  It's not always easy when we don't go with the flow, following the guidance of others, but if we are willing to stand up for what we really believe in then we can be who we "originally" are.

God wants "originals" he wants people who are not afraid to speak on His behalf.  I've always been "different".  Even when I was in school I was different and sometimes suffered the consequences of it, but in the end I am pleased with who I am for not being afraid of being a "Christian".  Don't get me wrong, I haven't always acted like a christian, I've made many mistakes in my life, but I have always remained an "original".  I am like no one else and I hope that will never change!  If we compare ourselves to others, we will constantly be insecure and confused.  That's enough of a reason why we shouldn't compare ourselves to others.

God creates us all different with the hopes of us using our uniqueness to serve Him.  Being an "original" is a good thing and people in the long run will admire you for it.

You know, I never really had the desire to write in my life, I would rather do art, crafts or gardening, but in the last two years my first interest has changed to writing.  I have journals everywhere in my house.  I know my skills aren't that good as it's been a long time since I was in school, and I was worried about what people would think of me, but I am wholeheartedly convicted to do so.  I am thankful to a friend who introduced me to this outlet.

If I am able to touch one person's heart in my writings, then it's completely been worth it!  This also shows my love to God that I am not afraid to proclaim Him and try to help others seek Him.  I know I have personally faced several skeletons in my closet by different articles I felt compelled to write, but it has made me face the changes in my own life that have been neglected.  Being an "original" is where I must be!  I hope you decide to be "original in Christ" and use your own personal characteristics to help improve your own life along with the lives of others.

You know I buy and sell art and antiques and do you know what is the most valuable?  Well I can guarantee you it is not the copies, reproductions or prints, it's always the originals.  So that's why God needs us to be "originals" so we will be more valuable to Him and His purpose.

You Are An Original, Now Just Prove It!
